The itinerary is a 9 day long adventure into the Pantanal. You could spot monkey’s giant otters, capybara, cayman, ocelot and a wide range of birds. The main highlight is searching for the elusive jaguar with a specialist guide.
You’ll have some free time for exploring Rio de Janeiro. Included is a private city guide to view the main sites. This includes the famous Copacabana beach! Music is a big part of this vibrant city. Bright clothes, dancing people and drumming in the street.
To top it all you’ll be on both sides, Argentina and Brazil, of the magnificent Iguacu Falls. The water flow is lower in the winter. However the summer time gets very humid. This means the spring and autumn are the best time to visit.
Expedition Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Iguacu and transfer to your hotel. There’ll be time in the afternoon to explore the waterfalls on your own. The trail is well signposted.
Day 2
Your guide will take you on a private tour to explore the Argentine side of Iguacu Falls
Day 3
Transfer to the airport and connect to your flight to the colourful city of Rio de Janeiro. You’ll be met on arrival and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel.
Day 4
Enjoy a private morning tour of Rio’s top sights. Sugar Loaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer are just two of them.

Day 5
Fly to the southern Pantanal today. On landing in Campo Grande you’ll be met and transferred to your lodge. The activities here specialise in tracking jaguar.
Day 6
Wildlife excursions with your specialist wildlife guide.
Day 7
Wildlife excursions with your specialist wildlife guide.
Day 8
An option to add-on an activity to monitor the jaguar with the conservation team. Or continue with wildlife excursions into the Pantanal.
Day 9
Drive to Campo Grande to connect to the flight to Sao Paulo. Here you’ll connect to your international flight.
