Central Africa – Virunga – Akagera

Region - Africa - Central Africa

The seven day/six night itinerary journeys to Akagera and Virunga Voclanoes National Park in Rwanda. Included in the itinerary is a bucket list activity to see the mountain gorilla. Spend three nights in the Virunga Volcanoes discovering more about these magnificent primates. Your stay here is fully inclusive in a luxury lodge. Visit the Diane Fossey Memorial and take a trek with golden monkeys.

Combine this with plains game viewing in a beautiful wilderness on the eastern border of the country. The park borders Lake Rwanyakazinga which creates an interesting mix between savannah and wetland. From your tented safari camp you’ll enjoy game drives, walks and boating activities.
